| 授業概要 | この授業では、世の中(社会)は記号の単位によって成立しているという考え方を出発点として、様々な批評の可能性を追求してみたい。社会を記号を単位としたものとして見る、とはいったいどういうことだろうか？また、その考え方をもとに 批評をしてみるとは、いったいどういうことなのだろうか？そして、その帰結は、どのような方向性を持つものな のだろうか？ソシュールをその系譜の父とする記号学(セミオティーク)は、言語学の境界線を大きくはみだし、フ ランス・アメリカで成熟し、現代批評理論の中心となるまでに至った。その批評学が対象とする範囲はとてつもなく広い。雑誌に掲載される写真は、我々にどのような影響を与えているのか；住居空間は我々の家族観にどのような影 響を与えているのか；戦争戦没者のモニュメントは、我々の過去との関係にどのようなインパクトを与えているのか？；テレビ映像は、我々の意識をどのように変えたのか？などという問題を映像なども使用しながら立体的に考察していきたい。この授業では、記号学の基本を押さえ、その基本をもとに様々な対象を批評実践の 対象として扱ってみる予定だ。主に、我々の視覚と社会形成の問題を中心にとり上げてみたい。 |

| 評価方法 | 毎回、リーディングノートを提出してもらう。これは、予習を目的としたもので全部で11回用意した。この予習が、評価の40パーセントを占める。学期中に中間試験を行う。この試験が、20パーセントということになるだろう。リーディングノートは、私のウェッブサイトに掲載してあるので、そちらを見て毎週予習をしていただきたい。残りの40パーセントは、グループで行う発表が占める。一人、最低3回は、何かを報告・発表してもらうことになるだろう。 |

| 授業概要 | 中国語の基本を学びます。日本語の発音とは異なる中国語の発音を学びながら、中国語の初歩的な文法を理解して、中国語に親しむことができることが目標です。日本語にない一部の発音を除くと、同じような漢字を使用しているなど、中国語は日本人には取り組みやすい外国語で、一つひとつの文法事項は容易に理解できるでしょう。しかし、それを積み重ねてしっかりと自分のものにしていかないと、まもなく文法事項を混同するなど難しい言語であると感じるようになると思います。そこで、予習・復習は欠かさずやって下さい。また、みなさんの勉学をサポートするために、単元ごとに単語テストを行ないます。半年の学習で中国語の初歩的な実力が習得できるように目指したいので、1回も休まないよう、熱心な学習態度を期待します。 |

| 授業概要 | 我々の社会生活を考えるにあたって、他者はいたるところに関連している。我々が「当たり前」と感じていることは、そのほとんどが他者との間で共有されていることである。逆に言えば、他者と共有されていなければそれは全く「当たり前」のことではない。自分自身について考えるときも、他者と比較しなくては評価のしようがないし、相手がどんな人だと考えるかによって、自分の行動も影響を受ける。本講義では、社会心理学的な実証研究の知見の紹介を中心として、人間関係の性質の検討に加えて、人間関係によって何がもたらされるかも含めて対象とする。 |

Subjects like sustainable food production and appropriate technology will form the basis for lessons in this course. A special project， where students will research an area they’re interested in and make a presentation to the class about that area， will give extra opportunity for students to consider and use English to help them meet a possible future goal， as well as learn about things that truly affect ALL of us. |
