| 授業計画 | Watch movie dialogs online， practice them with a partner then do the “personalizing” follow-up discussion activity. Learn authentic “conversation methods and maneuvers” by using “conversation catalysts” to continue a discussion with your partner. Add your comments to a global forum. Join and contribute to a global “voice thread” with international students. Listen online to students of English from around the world talking about their culture and share your ideas about what you heard with a partner. Discuss recent news topics with a partner. Do speaking activities from textbook websites. Do pronunciation practice using Net Academy. |

| 授業概要 | この授業はSpeakingとPronunciationの訓練が狙いです。ビデオやテープを使用したシャドーイングのトレーニングをすることにより、発音とスピードのトレーニングを実施します。そおのうえで、ビデオドラマのアテレコをすることにより、音読の訓練や感情移入の方法を覚えましょう。英詩の音読を実施して、響きのよい英語の感覚をつかみましょう。このほかパワーポイントを使用して、自分でスピーチを行う訓練を行います。 |
| 授業計画 | この授業に教科書はありませんが、必ずUSBを持ってきててください。教材や自分の音声を録音するのに必要です。 1回目はビデオやテープの録音を行うなど、CALLの機能を覚えるためにあてます。 2回目以降は、ビデオドラマをもとに、自分の発音訓練のためにまずシャドーイングをします。その後、配役を決めますアテレコを行います。 英詩の朗読は、ドラマの進行具合をみながら2回程度入れる予定です。 パワーポイントを使ったスピーチは7回目以降に導入します。一人一人がスピーチを行いますので、そのつもりでいてください。 |
| 評価方法 | 授業出席率と参加態度50％、アテレコと音読のパーフォーマンス25％、スピーチ25％として評価します。授業の性質上、忌引き等の理由のある場合を除き、5回以上の欠席は評価対象としません。また遅刻3回は1回の欠席とみなしますので注意してください。 |

| 授業概要 | One of the most fun and fulfilling uses of any language is creative writing and sharing this writing with others. Creative writing allows us to free up our concerns with technical perfection， as in other types of writing such as business correspondence etc.， and to let our thoughts flow. This， in turn， will increase our confidence to write in English， improve grammar， and to express our thoughts to others. This class will focus on different writing exercises each week which will be read out to the class in the following week. Different prose and poetry styles will be explored. |
| 授業計画 | Specifics of the writing exercises will be provided in class. This class aims to enhance writing， speaking and listening abilities and confidence. It also wants to get the creative juices flowing and to get students to be comfortable to express their ideas， impressions and feelings in English. |

| 授業概要 | この授業はライティング能力を養成するためのものです。英文を書くにはパラグラフの構成の仕方を覚え、それを組み合わせている技術を習得しなくてはなりません。そして、その背後には目的に応じた書き方のテクニックがあります。書く作業は主に授業内に行い提出します。その後、自分で訂正を行い、再度提出します。ライティングは面倒ですが、自分が書くことで書かれたものの理解が進むので、英語能力の集大成として非常に重要です。 |

| 授業概要 | This is a Pre-Intermediate/Intermediate course designed to develop students listening skills for social， academic and business purposes. Students will improve their listening skills- and gain valuable language input- through a combination of extensive and intensive listening material and procedures. By hearing a range of accents and registers students will be enabled to acquire good speaking habits as a result of the natural spoken English they absorb and improve their own pronunciation. Students’ active listening skills will be developed through a variety of inter-cultural texts， music and authentic materials. The texts themselves will also encourage students to develop their critical thinking skills. The follow-up communicative tasks will allow them to improve their spoken fluency ability as they will have to effectively express their opinions and ideas in group discussions while practicing introduced language structures and vocabulary. |
