授業概要 CALLの機能を使ってリスニングとリーディングの訓練を行います。リーディング教材をまず聞き取ることから始め、次にその内容についてのQ&Aを実施をすることにより、理解ができたかどうかを確かめていきます。授業は英語で行うことを原則としますが、文法説明など必要な場合は日本語で行います。
授業計画 授業には音声の録音が必要ですから必ずUSBを持ってきてください。
録音後にTrue/Falseの質問があります。これに答えた後に、教材の一部を穴埋めする問題が出されます。そして最後に英語による質問に英語で答える課題が出されます。
中間試験と期末試験があり、読んだ教材を適切に理解できているかの最終チェックとして、関連したトピックの読解テストを実施します。
なお、英語上達の基礎となるボキャブラリー養成のためのタスクも毎回ありますので、そのつもりでいてください。
評価方法 出席率および授業参加態度30％、タスク50％、期末テスト20％として評価します。授業の性質上、忌引き等の理由のある場合を除き、欠席5回以上の場合は評価対象としません。また、遅刻を3回した場合は1回欠席として扱いますので注意してください。

授業概要 CALL(Computer Assisted Language Learning＝コンピュータ利用の外国語学習)教室の機能を利用し、リスニング・スピーキングを中心として英語力向上のための演習を行います。 オンライン教材のネットワークアカデミーと英語リスニング道場、およびインターネットで配信される様々な英語のニュース等を用いて、世界中の英語に触れ、英語の基礎スキルを養っていきたいと思います。授業内外で、英語によるコミュニケーション活動も活発に行います。なお、この授業(B)は、CASECの点数が550点以上の学生を対象とします。

授業概要 The Internet is becoming the most essential media for discovering and keeping informed about the news of our world. This course will examine several mainstream and alternative news websites and will read articles， look at video clips， and listen to audio files related to current news. The focus of this class will be on reading this information aloud with proper pronunciation and also speaking about the content of the media. Students will be encouraged to give small presentations in every class about different topics in the news.

授業概要 English for International Communication， EIC 103， is an advanced elementary English class focusing on LISTENING and SPEAKING/WRITING skills. Communication strategies to develop their own conversations will be introduced so that students can make short speeches on current issues and topics of personal interest.
授業計画 During the term， we’ll use a popular English conversation textbook that has proven very useful in helping students in Japan develop their English skills.
A more specific outline， including specific assignments and projects and dates due， will be distributed in the class.
評価方法 Students will be evaluated based on attendance， being on time， and general attitude in class， as well as effort put into class preparation， assignments， and class activities. As stated in Bunkyo University’s policies， it will NOT be possible for students to pass this course if they are absent from more than 1/3 of the classes.
