| 授業概要 | The course is an introductory English conversation course. The students will be introduced to general ideas of daily English conversation. The class will stress development of skills necessary to function in English in situations like making appointments and reservations，as well as discussing such common topics as sports and hobbies. In addition，we will lay the foundation for more advanced discussions on international issues by building vocabulary. Although the main aim is to improve conversational skills，reading and writing will also be taught. |
| 授業計画 | The main focus of this class will be to develop confidence in speaking. Students will also do vocabulary building and listening exercises in order to build their communication skills. Students will practise model conversations then create their own conversations based on the model. These conversations form the basis of the test activities in which conversations are memorized and acted in front of the class. Conversation topics include social conversations，job interviews，making reservations and getting information by telephone and talking about future plans. A willingness to participate and to only use English in pair and group speaking activities is a requirement of this class. |
