授業概要 | In this class you will have a chance to get used to typing, sending and reading e-mail in English. Students receive an e-mail from the teacher every week with questions and links to the websites where they find the answers. Students write their answers, run a spell check, then e-mail me. When the assignment is finished there are “for fun’” activities with links to interactive websites where students can enjoy English online. |
授業計画 | There are a total of 10 assignments worth 10 points each. 6 are assignments based on written samples provided. 4 assignments are transcriptions from online audio streaming. Topics for written assignments are: A biography of a famous person. Writing your own biography. Writing about your home prefecture. Writing a business letter or friendly letter. Researching an overseas volunteer program. Filling in forms to register for a free e-mail account or for online shopping. Students can choose from various topics for listening and transcribing. Some options are: World peace, the League of Nations and the history of the UN. Visit Australia or New Zealand. Learn Maori greetings. Organic food: Store Wars. Animal welfare: The Meatrix. How to cook: Write cooking instructions. |
