| 授業概要 | This class will focus on developing students’ writing skills in different genres such as Short Stories and Travel Writing， using different techniques used by writers in modern English literature which can then also be used in speaking to develop more varied and interesting communication skills. There will be some reading of relevant texts， and plenty of discussion. |
| 授業計画 | There is no set textbook， however we will read a selection of texts from different genres to study how to write and generally communicate more creatively. Students will be encouraged to share their own favourite texts in English which can be discussed in class along with the course texts provided. There will be an emphasis on discussion and sharing ideas and opinions， and on “creativity” as opposed to error-free， grammatically perfect communication. |
| 評価方法 | Students will be evaluated based on attendance， and participation in class. There will be a few assignments which must be completed to the required standard， and there must be evidence that the student is becoming more comfortable using the language studied in the class as the course progresses. |

| メッセージ | This is a “Friday afternoon class” and the class will be as relaxed and as fun as possible， but it will also be rewarding as students’ discover the ability to communicate in English in ways that were perhaps previously not thought possible. |
