| 授業概要 | This course is about learning and discussing current issues of global interest. The language components of the course are speaking， reading and writing. The course is designed to help students learn how to formulate and convey their personal views on key international issues. |
| 授業計画 | There is no textbook for this course. The course is both activity-oriented and student-centered. Likewise， online activities and individual creativity are vital to this course. Topics are selected in collaboration with students in order to better shape both their language needs and their academic interest. |
| 評価方法 | Attendance is very important and the course involves a considerable amount of out-of-class work. Grading is based on 1) attendance (10%)， 2) weekly assignments (20%)， 3) in-classroom activities (20%) and 4) individual projects (50%). |
