授業概要 This course is about presentation. It is designed to help students plan, write and deliver in-class presentations. Topics are selected to generate debate and facilitate group discussions. At the end of the course, students should be able to make presentations on any issue with logic and ease.The course uses a step-by-step method. Video clips and other documentaries are used to help students learn the basics of speechmaking. Classes will often end with short (3-5 min) presentations by selected students.

Week Seven: Understanding and Summarizing a Text
Language Focus: What, When, Where, Why and Who?
Week Eight: Paraphrasing a text and using references
Week Nine: Preparing a powe-point presentation
Week Ten: Some Important points of speechmaking
Skill: Posture, voice and handling questions
Week Eleven: Final Presentation Group 1 and Discussion
Week Twelve: Final Presentation Group 2 and Discussion
Week Thirteen: Final Presentation Group 3 and Discussion
評価方法 Attendance is important; so is group work. Students will often work in small groups for presentation purposes. Students are expected to spend about 45 minutes for weekly assignments. Grading is based on attendance (10%), in-class activities (20%), mid-term test (30%) and final presentation (40%).
