| 授業概要 | This advanced course will focus on allowing students to read， understand and critically evaluate the often difficult and particular English used in newspapers and news magazines. Students will be encoraged to present their own articles on topics that interest them. It intends to develop critical thinking and research in English. |
| 授業計画 | This course will provide students the vocabulary and grammar to perform these skills: Improve reading skills/ Deciphering headlines/ Idiomatic use of English/ Further devopment of critical thinking/ Examining different writing styles/ Researching in English/ Presentation of articles/ Writing newspaper articles in English |

| メッセージ | This course should be taken by enthusiastic students who are interested in finding out about Japan and the world using English newspapers and magazines. Students will be free to present topics while demonstrating their improved critical and reading abilities. These abilities will be further applied in EIC304 in the Fall for those students who wish to continue their studies of the English media. |
