| 授業概要 | This advanced elementary course will introduce the students to practical English necessary to communicate effectively by learning how to cope with and solve problems encountered in staying abroad. Students will work on the development of effective communication skills as well as information processing skills (listening and reading). Development of these skills will enable students to have more confidence when they travel abroad. The class will stress development skills necessary to function in English in situations like on an airplane， at immigration and customs， hotel reservations， ordering in restaurants， discussing travel plans， asking for directions and so on. Although the main aim is to improve conversational skills， reading and writing will also be taught. |
| 授業計画 | In addition to the textbook， audio and video tapes will be used as text.Class work will consist of individual and pair work activities. |
| 評価方法 | Class attendance and participation， and completion of homework are essential inaddition to the written examination for a good grade. |
