| 授業概要 | This course will introduce students to the basic issues of working in NGOs and international cooperation (e.g. cross-cultural communication， globalization， East vs. West/North vs. South， ”poverty” and ”aid”， human rights， gender， etc.). The course will also help students develop some of the basic skills needed for this work， such as report writing and oral presentations in English. |
| 授業計画 | We will learn through reading articles and watching videos. We will also learn how to express opinions and study vocabulary related to the class topics. Class participation will be a very important part of the grading. Homework will involve writing thoughts and opinions on the class reading or videos. There will be no written tests or final exam. Instead， there will be a final oral report on the personal interest of each student. |
