年度 2003
科目名 EIC101
教員名 J.S.ワッツ
授業概要 This course is an introductory English conversation course. The student will be introduced to general ideas of daily English conversation. The class will stress development of oral skills necessary to function in English situations like making appointments and reservations, as well as discussing such common topics as sports and hobbies. In addition, we will lay the foundation for more advanced discussion on international issues by building vocabulary. Although the main aim is to improve conversational skills, reading and writing will also be taught.
授業計画 For the semester we will cover 3-4 units. In each unit, we will be learning a dialogue about various topics and situations. This dialogue will be the foundation for learning vocabulary and developing natural pronunciation and tone. We will also study some of the social and international aspects of the topics covered in these dialogues. Review of the previous class lesson will be the basic weekly homework. This will help prepare us for pair and group role plays held at the end of each unit. This simple, basic homework and the role plays will be essential to class participation.
