| 授業概要 | This course is an introductory English conversation course. The students will be introduced to general ideas of daily English conversation. The class will stress development of skills necessary to function in English in situations like making appointments and reservations，as well as discussing such common topics as sports and hobbies. In addition，we will lay the foundation for more advanced discussions on international issues by building vocabulary. Although the main aim is to improve conversational skills，reading and writing will also be taught. |
| 授業計画 | This syllabus will be topic and function-based on everyday situations and will develop good basic skills through pair practice and group work with some individual work on improving grammar if necessary， although the emphasis will be on communicating and building confidence. |
| 評価方法 | Grading is by continuous assessment so attendance， active participation and a willing-to-learn attitude in each class are essential. There will be writing assignments for homework. |
