Students will learn how to articulate and express their ideas\uff0c values and opinions in English. The student-centered syllabus will be based upon contemporary issues that affect the global community as well as issues specific to Japanese society\uff0c and to the students themselves.Over the course\uff0c students will be able to develop their debating skills\uff0c discussion strategies and learn how to present their ideas with supporting statements. Students will improve their ability to communicate their ideas and thoughts logically and clearly in English.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u6388\u696d\u8a08\u753b<\/th>\n<td>Apart from debating skills\uff0c this course will also focus on spoken fluency and listening skills with an emphasis on discourse. Students will develop their social and cultural awareness as the issues covered over the syllabus are wide ranging. By the end of the course students should be able to effectively communicate their ideas in English.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u8a55\u4fa1\u65b9\u6cd5<\/th>\n<td>Students will be required to have excellent attendance and to actively participate in each class. Students need to complete in-class quizzes\uff0c homework assignments and participate in in-class debates.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u6559\u79d1\u66f8<\/th>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u53c2\u8003\u66f8<\/th>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8<\/th>\n<td>By learning how to articulate your ideas communicatively through debate you will be able to improve your spoken English proficiency.
