The students will be introduced to general ideas of daily English conversation. The class will stress development of skills necessary to function in English in situations like making appointments and reservations\uff0c as well as discussing such common topics as sports and hobbies. In addition\uff0c we will lay the foundation for more advanced discussions on international issues by building vocabulary. Although the main aim is to improve conversational skills\uff0c reading and writing will also be taught.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u6388\u696d\u8a08\u753b<\/th>\n<td>The class will focus on removing \u2018the barriers of shyness and timidity\u2019 and gaining confidence in speaking English. Topics in the textbook range from personal matters like family and hobbies to typical Japanese culture. After listening to various dialogues on a topic and having enough time to shape up their own ideas\uff0c students are given many chances to talk about the topic individually\uff0c in pairs and groups.
