The focus of the course is on reading\uff0c writing and presentation skills. Topics include\uff0c among others\uff0c issues of both national and global interest. The course also involves a minimum of vocabulary building as well as group debate.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u6388\u696d\u8a08\u753b<\/th>\n<td>Students will start by reviewing some important elements of English communication strategies\uff0c including speaking and writing. Students will then be introduced to the techniques of reading. They will move on to utilize what they learned in their weekly assignments and final projects.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u8a55\u4fa1\u65b9\u6cd5<\/th>\n<td>The course is activity-oriented. Students should expect to spend up to one hour for weekly assignments. Grading will be based on students\u2019 active involvement in the class activities and their willingness to improve by doing the given assignments.
