The focus of the class is on reading\uff0c writing and presentation . Students will use computers and Internet to improve on these important language skills.The course is activity oriented. A typical class day will often consist of viewing a short video clip\uff0c discussing related ideas\uff0c conducting an online search and then writing about one\u2019s personal opinion. Despite being rigorous\uff0c learning tasks are enjoyable and informative.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u6388\u696d\u8a08\u753b<\/th>\n<td>Students will start by reviewing some important functions of writing and speechmaking. Next\uff0c they will be introduced to the basics of research methods. Students will also learn how to underestand and summarize a reading. They will then go on to apply what they have learned in their weekly projects.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u8a55\u4fa1\u65b9\u6cd5<\/th>\n<td>Attendance and the preparation of weekly assignments are very important. Grading is based on 1) attendance\uff0c 2) successful weekly assignments\uff0c 3) participation in class activities and 4) final presentations.  Students are expected to spend up to an hour each week for their off-class activities.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u6559\u79d1\u66f8<\/th>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u53c2\u8003\u66f8<\/th>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8<\/th>\n<td>Students should be prepared to work hard. The class is fun and very relaxed.
