Students will practice conversation strategies\uff0c discussion skills\uff0c listening skills\uff0c and presentation skills. They will also learn critical thinking skills and learn to express their opinions with support. The emphasis will be on oral communication\uff0c but the course will also include some reading and writing.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u6388\u696d\u8a08\u753b<\/th>\n<td>The textbook\uff0c focused largely on oral communication of international topics\uff0c will form the overall structure of the course\uff0c but supplementary materials will also be used. Those materials will include current news articles and songs.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u8a55\u4fa1\u65b9\u6cd5<\/th>\n<td>Students will be evaluated based on attendance\uff0c classroom participation\uff0c homework\uff0c two tests\uff0c and two or more short presentations.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u6559\u79d1\u66f8<\/th>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u53c2\u8003\u66f8<\/th>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8<\/th>\n<td>I hope to both challenge you to excel by motivating you toward new horizons\uff0c and also to assist you in pursuing your own goals\uff0c especially as they relate to education and international communication. Also\uff0c I hope we can have some fun along the way!<br \/>I hope to make you more interested in understanding and using English. I also hope to help you and guide you as you go for your own goals in this class. Please prepare to participate actively and ask for help or clarification any time you need to do so. Mistakes are OK so don\u2019t be afraid to try.
