They will make predictions\uff0c summarize\uff0c memorize definitions of new words\uff0c and use them in sentences.  There will be comprehensive questions and discussions about the content.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u6388\u696d\u8a08\u753b<\/th>\n<td>Class work will consist of discussions based on the reading material provided\uff0c group work and several presentations by each student representing the groups.  All discussions will be held in English by the students.<br \/>(1)\tThe article will be passed out<br \/>(2)\tStudents will look at the title and predict the content<br \/>(3)\tScan and Skim<br \/>(4)\tEach will read it carefully once<br \/>(5)\tVocabulary exercise<br \/>(6)\tRead again<br \/>(7)\tComprehension<br \/>(8)\tDiscussion Q and A ( in groups depending on the size of class)<br \/>(9)\tGo on the internet or check other resources for more<br \/>              information<br \/>    (10)Group leader\u2019s oral report<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u8a55\u4fa1\u65b9\u6cd5<\/th>\n<td>Students will be graded as follows:<br \/>          Attendance   30%<br \/>          Participation and Attitude 25%<br \/>          Presentation work\uff0c written work\uff0c homework and quizzes 30%<br \/>          Final Exam 15%<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u6559\u79d1\u66f8<\/th>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u53c2\u8003\u66f8<\/th>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8<\/th>\n<td>Take charge of your own learning!  Studying English through newspaper and magazine articles can be challenging\uff0c but an interesting and good way to increase your vocabulary.  Enjoy improving your English through news that interest you.<br \/>Getting into the habit of reading the newspaper will be a big advantage for you.
