For each topic\uff0c we will look at both sides of an issue\uff0c and form our own personal opinions about it. We will also try to think about how the issue relates to Japanese society and culture. It will be very important during class to think carefully and to speak your opinion openly.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u6388\u696d\u8a08\u753b<\/th>\n<td>The class will focus on reading and speaking. We will also do various sorts of grammar and vocabulary activities. Homework will be to read the article and be ready to answer the study questions. There will be three short written tests at the end of each section. No final exam. For students who need to improve their vocabulary and reading abilities\uff0c especially in preparation for the TOEFL\uff0c this class will be ideal.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u8a55\u4fa1\u65b9\u6cd5<\/th>\n<td>attendance 15%\uff0c participation 40%\uff0c three unit tests 45%<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u6559\u79d1\u66f8<\/th>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u53c2\u8003\u66f8<\/th>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8<\/th>\n<td>This class will be about serious fun.
