The students will learn basic skills for supporting and refuting opinions. They will not only learn how to make rebuttal arguments but will also be able to improve their English speaking skills.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u6388\u696d\u8a08\u753b<\/th>\n<td>The class will cover 9 basic steps for beginners to learn how to debate. They will learn how to support opinions with reasons\uff0c how to support reasons with evidence and how to organize information into a coherent message.  In addition\uff0c each will learn how to refute explanations\uff0c how to challenge evidence and how to organize refutations into a coherent message. The basic procedures for delivery\uff0c brainstorming and prioritizing will be taught.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u8a55\u4fa1\u65b9\u6cd5<\/th>\n<td>Grades on this course will be determined by the following criteria:<br \/>Regular attendance 30% (If a student misses more than 3 classes\uff0c he\/she  will fail the course). Being more than 10 minutes late for the class three times will count as one absence.  Being more than 25 minutes late is considered one absence.<br \/>Participation and Attitude 40% (The more you speak and are prepared the better your grades.  Mistakes are good.  They show that you are trying.<br \/>Final Presentation 30%<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u6559\u79d1\u66f8<\/th>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u53c2\u8003\u66f8<\/th>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8<\/th>\n<td>This class is opened to all level students who can express themselves in English and want to become more confident in expressing their opinions.  Those of you who feel you need more opportunities to speak in English\uff0c this is a class you will definitely enjoy and benefit from.
