This class will focus on reading and speaking. As Mr. Watts is a specialist in religion and social studies\uff0c the contents of this class will focus on spirituality in daily life (\u65e5\u5e38\u7cbe\u795e\u751f\u6d3b). There will be two basic themes in this class concerning: gender and relationships with others. Each theme will be related to the practice of mindfulness \uff3bbeing aware of how our thoughts\uff0c words and actions have an affect\uff3d on our gender and on our relationships. The readings will come from a variety of different sources. The articles will not be too academic\uff0c but rather more personal in style.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u6388\u696d\u8a08\u753b<\/th>\n<td>This class will focus on high intermediate and advanced level students of English. Mr. Watts\u2019 half of the class on Friday will not be coordinated with the Tuesday class &#8211; it will have a separate theme and content. We will read one article for two weeks &#8211; the first class will focus on basic comprehension of the article and any technical language questions; the second class will be a more open discussion of the contents and meaning of the article. Homework will be to read the article and be ready to answer the study questions. There will be two unit tests which correspond to the two topics of gender and family relationships and no final exam.
