The students will be introduced to general ideas of daily English conversation. The class will stress development of skills necessary to function in English in situations like making appointments and reservations\uff0cas well as discussing such common topics as sports and hobbies. In addition\uff0cwe will lay the foundation for more advanced discussions on international issues by building vocabulary. Although the main aim is to improve conversational skills\uff0creading and writing will also be taught.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u6388\u696d\u8a08\u753b<\/th>\n<td>This syllabus will be topic and function-based on everyday situations and will develop good basic skills through pair practice and group work with some individual work on improving grammar if necessary\uff0c although the emphasis will be on communicating and building confidence.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u8a55\u4fa1\u65b9\u6cd5<\/th>\n<td>Grading is by continuous assessment so attendance\uff0c active participation and a willing-to-learn attitude in each class are essential.
