The students will be introduced to general ideas of daily English conversation.  The class will stres development of skills necessary to function in English in situations like making appointments and reservations\uff0c as well as discussing such common topics as sports and hobbies.  In addition\uff0c we will lay the foundation for more advanced discussions on international issues by building vocabulary.  Although the main aim is to improve conversational skills\uff0creading and writing will also be taught.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u6388\u696d\u8a08\u753b<\/th>\n<td>This is a fun class that builds on students\u2019 confidence levels\uff0c so that English can be enjoyed as well as appreciated as an important \u201ctool\u201d.  The goal of the class is to simulate real life situations\uff0c so that natural and spontaneous language is practised\uff0c which can be appropriately applied to international situations outside the classroom.  Students are expected to develope independent learning skills\uff0c and to be able to participate in groups and in pairs in order to maximinze the time in class \u201cusing\u201dEnglish.  The focus will be on conversation skills\uff0c including pronunciation practice\uff0c listening and vocabulary building and there will also be some writing and reading tasks.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u8a55\u4fa1\u65b9\u6cd5<\/th>\n<td>Students will be graded each lesson.  Non-submission of homework and other assignments will result in a poor grade for that class.  In addition\uff0c there will be small tests during the semester and students will prepare an original conversation to present to the class at the end of the semester.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u6559\u79d1\u66f8<\/th>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u53c2\u8003\u66f8<\/th>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8<\/th>\n<td>Perhaps this class will be very different from the English classes you attended in high school!  In this class\uff0c it is wonderful if you ask many questions\uff0c and never worry if you make mistakes.
