Through performance\uff0c students will be able to develop confidence and self-assurance in learning how to express themselves in English.  Through recitation\uff0c script reading\uff0c and writing their own narrative and dialogue\uff0c all four skills (speaking\uff0c listening\uff0c reading and writing) will be dealt with in this class.  The final class of the semester will be a performance (\u201cshowcase\u201d) of the students\u2019 own work.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u6388\u696d\u8a08\u753b<\/th>\n<td>The final goal of this class is to make and perform an original play produced by the students themselves.  The instructor will conduct this class as a facilitator in a style of theatre workshop.  The story line will be created based on the students\u2019 discussion and improvisation. The rough outline is as follows:<br \/>Week 1 ~ Week 3 :  Presentation about intercultural issues<br \/>Week 4 ~ Week 6 :  Discussion about the topic of the presentation<br \/>Week 7 ~ Week 9 :  Creating narrative and dialogue (or monologue) through improvisation<br \/>Week 10 ~ Week 11 :  Modifying the script<br \/>Week 12 ~ Week 14 : Building a character<br \/>Week 15 : Performance<br \/>(Warming-up exercise and theatre games will begin each class.)<br \/>If there\u2019s any possibility\uff0c going to see a play \/ joining a backstage tour will be scheduled\uff0c as one of the class activities.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u8a55\u4fa1\u65b9\u6cd5<\/th>\n<td>Class participation\uff0c Performance\uff0c Homework Assignments\uff0c Term report\uff0c Journal*.<br \/>*The instructor will explain about the journal at the beginning of semester.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u6559\u79d1\u66f8<\/th>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u53c2\u8003\u66f8<\/th>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8<\/th>\n<td>No need to have special acting skills or experiences!  Just bring your curiosity and interests in expressing yourself through performance.  Students are expected to participate actively on their own initiative to acquire English language skills!
