The object of this class is to enable the students to improve listening comprehension skills by using the four successful listening strategies.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u6388\u696d\u8a08\u753b<\/th>\n<td>Class work will consist of listening to passages related to topics students are interested in such as: travel\uff0c cultural differences\uff0c health\uff0c movies\uff0c relationships\uff0c environment\uff0c school life and fashion.  There will be short vocabulary quizzes\uff0c comprehension tests and the students will also be asked to give presentations on the topics discussed.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u8a55\u4fa1\u65b9\u6cd5<\/th>\n<td>Grading is by continuous assessment and successful completion of the target task. Active participation and a high degree of commitment are essential.<br \/>Grades of the course will be determined by the following criteria:<br \/>Attendance: 30% (If a student misses more than 4 classes\uff0c you will fail the course. Being more than 20 minutes late will be considered one absence. )<br \/>In-class attitude\uff0c assignments\uff0c participation and activities:  30%<br \/>Presentation work\uff0c quizzes\uff0c and homework:  30%<br \/>Final examination: 10%<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u6559\u79d1\u66f8<\/th>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u53c2\u8003\u66f8<\/th>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8<\/th>\n<td>Participation is vital to your success.
