If you are a good writer in Japanese\uff0c does it automatically make you a good writer in English? Is a good thinker always a good writer? Answering these questions is no easy task\uff0c but this course will try to offer you some possible answers to these questions as you learn some basic knowledge about essay writing in English. The focus is placed on paragraph writing first\uff0c and then you will learn to organize multiple paragraphs in one essay.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u6388\u696d\u8a08\u753b<\/th>\n<td>All the classroom activities are related to writing real essays. In each class\uff0c you learn some new rules in writing English essays\uff0c and you try out the rules in the next assignment. You will be writing one essay every two weeks and submit it to me. You will begin from a short one-paragraph essay\uff0c and toward the end of the course\uff0c you will be writing longer ones. The final project will probably be a two-page essay on a substantial topic.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u8a55\u4fa1\u65b9\u6cd5<\/th>\n<td>Your final grade is given based on your attendance and participation (30%)\uff0c your written assignments (50%)\uff0c and your final project (20%).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u6559\u79d1\u66f8<\/th>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u53c2\u8003\u66f8<\/th>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8<\/th>\n<td>Writing provides a rather pressure-free environment for foreign language learners. When you write\uff0c you don\u2019t have to worry about your pronunciation\uff0c you can take your time and monitor your grammar\uff0c and you can read what you have written and rewrite again and again until you feel your ideas are well expressed.
