It is designed for  students in their second year or above.  This class is to help students develop critical thinking and communication skills by reading interesting issues important to university students.  Students will not only read to increase their vocabulary\uff0c but also do pair work in which they will be able to share information on a variety of popular topics.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u6388\u696d\u8a08\u753b<\/th>\n<td>Students are expected to read the designated material in advance so that they can be well-prepared for the discussion.  Students will learn how to express their opinions on the topic to an active speaker in class.  There will be no tests or final exam. Instead\uff0c there will be a final oral report.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u8a55\u4fa1\u65b9\u6cd5<\/th>\n<td>Attendance is extremely important in my class.Students are evaluated based on the following:Attendance 30%:  If a student misses more than 4 classes\uff0c you will fail                   the course.  Being more that 20 minutes late will be considered one absence. Being tardy 3 times will be considered as one absence.  In-class activities\uff0c attitude and assignments 40%                    Late assignments will not be accepted. Reports\uff0c exams and presentation: 30%<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u6559\u79d1\u66f8<\/th>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u53c2\u8003\u66f8<\/th>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8<\/th>\n<td>This class is for those who wish to improve English through reading. Reading is more than just knowing many words.  When reading different kinds of texts\uff0c you need to know what strategies and skills to use.  This class will help you gain confidence in comprehension and communication skills through reading.  I hope to inspire all of you in order to broaden your perspectives and gain confidence when out in the real world.
