| 授業概要 | This is an elective course aimed at building communicative English skills using multimedia tools. The focus of the class is on reading， writing and presentation . Students will use computers and Internet to improve on these important language skills.The course is activity oriented. A typical class day will often consist of viewing a short video clip， discussing related ideas， conducting an online search and then writing about one’s personal opinion. Despite being rigorous， learning tasks are enjoyable and informative. |
| 授業計画 | Students will start by reviewing some important functions of writing and speechmaking. Next， they will be introduced to the basics of research methods. Students will also learn how to underestand and summarize a reading. They will then go on to apply what they have learned in their weekly projects. |
| 評価方法 | Attendance and the preparation of weekly assignments are very important. Grading is based on 1) attendance， 2) successful weekly assignments， 3) participation in class activities and 4) final presentations. Students are expected to spend up to an hour each week for their off-class activities. |
