| 授業概要 | This course is about English communication strategies. Its primary focus is on speaking. The course is designed to help students improve their communication ability. Online tools and Internet are essential to the course. At the end of semester， students should be able to communicate in English with clarity and ease. Topics are carefully selected to facilitate interaction among students and to let them feel confident when expressing their views. |
| 授業計画 | The course is activity oriented. It uses pre-made sketches for the students to learn key language structures that are necessary to communicate in English. Students will start by reviewing and mastering the basic elements of English communication. They will go on to study about the various rules of speechmaking. They will then put the acquired skills together through individual and group projects， including presentations. |
| 評価方法 | Attendance is extremely important. Students will also need to keep up with their weekly assignments， which amount to a workload of 50-60 minutes. Evaluation is based on 1) attendance， 2) successful weekly assignments， 3) participation in class activities and 4) final presentations. |
