| 授業概要 | In this class， the students will develop reading， speaking， and writing skills through current events. They will make predictions， summarize， memorize definitions of new words， and use them in sentences. There will be comprehensive questions and discussions about the content. |
| 授業計画 | Class work will consist of discussions based on the reading material provided， group work and several presentations by each student representing the groups. All discussions will be held in English by the students. (1) The article will be passed out (2) Students will look at the title and predict the content (3) Scan and Skim (4) Each will read it carefully once (5) Vocabulary exercise (6) Read again (7) Comprehension (8) Discussion Q and A ( in groups depending on the size of class) (9) Go on the internet or check other resources for more information (10)Group leader’s oral report |

| メッセージ | Take charge of your own learning! Studying English through newspaper and magazine articles can be challenging， but an interesting and good way to increase your vocabulary.
