| 授業概要 | This elective class is mainly for students who want to pass the STEP test second grade level. It will emphasize all the language skills of listening， speaking， reading and writing. We will focus on reviewing English grammar and vocabulary building. Reading strategies will also be introduced. Some videos will be shown and discussed in class. |
| 授業計画 | First， we will cover unit 1-12 of the textbook， and will review the basic grammar of English， for example， word order， tense， relatives， preposition etc. Next， to improve reading skills， paragraph reading will be introduced. Trial exams for the STEP 2nd grade will be given， too. |
| 評価方法 | Grading will be based on short quizes and exercises， some writing assignments， and students’ attendance and effort in class. It is very important to attend all classes. |

| メッセージ | Don’t worry about making mistakes! It is more important to try freely and to enjoy learning English together. Bring a Japanese-English/English-Japanese Dictionary to class each week， as well as pencils and paper. |
