| 授業概要 | This course will aim at increasing the students’ English speaking and writing through group discussions and presentations on selected topics like peace， environment， racism or even American pop culture. We will also investigate the role culture plays on the various issues. |
| 授業計画 | The students will be required to make oral presentations and discus various topics with their classmates. I will try to introduce the idea of critical thinking and why it is important to not be a sheep. I will also emphasize original writing and how to combind ideas and form one’s own idea and not just copy ideas from a book. There may be a seminar trip to study a toic in the United States or another country. |
| 評価方法 | Grades will be given for class presentations and how well the student participates in class (40%) and written reports and oral presentations (60%). |
