| 授業概要 | This course is an introductory English conversation course. The students will be introduced to general ideas of daily English conversation. The class will stress development of skills necessary to function in English in situations like making appointments and reservations， as well discussing such common topics as sports and hobbies. In addition， we will lay the foundation for more advanced discussions on international issues by building vocabulary. Although the main aim is to improve conversational skills， reading and writing will also be taught. |
| 授業計画 | The class will be conducted in English and all students will be encouraged to speak only in English to the teacher as well as to each other. There will be pair work， group work and individual speeches and presentations. Class material and topics will be chosen and/or developed by the teacher. |
| 評価方法 | Grades will be based on classwork and homework and the attitude shown in class 40%; speeches and presentations 25%; conversations 25%; attendance 10%. |
