授業概要 Original and creative writing are two interesting and exciting things we can do with a language. With the Internet one can access an incredible amount of information to create great research papers or your own news articles. You can also use the Internet to view sights that challenge you vocabulary to describe or inspire you to write poems or stories. This class will give you a chance use the Internet to create reports or perhaps stories. It will give you the opportunity to expand your vocabulary and make you feel comfortable when writing English and improve your writing skills for business or pleasure.
授業計画 Lesson One: Introduction to course work and class rules. First class assignment and first homework assignment
Lesson Two: Students exchange papers and read their partners paper and we discus ideas.
Lesson Three: Write first news report about a selected topic.
Lesson Four Review and introduce useful vocabulary. Homework assignment for next lesson.
Lesson Five: Exchange papers for discussion or/reading. Introduction to On-line site for writing descriptions. Introduction to descriptive words.
Lesson Five: Vocabulary quiz. Introduction to poetry. Write short poem sin class and for home work.
Lesson Six: Reading short poems and review of previous work
Lesson Seven: Review and rewriting of reports. First serious reports assigned
Lesson Eight: First serious reports presented to class
Lesson Nine: Oral Reports continued
Lesson Ten: Introduction more vocabulary and short story writing blending reality and fiction. Make own short story.
Lesson Eleven: Short Stories presented orally in class,
Lesson Twelve: Continuation of short stories
Lesson Thirteen: Review of writing ideas and expressions from short stories.
Lesson Fourteen: Final writing assignments given. The choice could be a report about real people or s fictional story.
Lesson Fifteen: Presentations
評価方法 Evaluations for this class will be based on total class performance. Attendance, class participation and attitude and homework (50%);reports, and end of term presentations(50%). All aspects of the class will be essential for a good grade.
