| 授業概要 | This is a computer room class to improve listening and reading skills by studying documentaries， news， movies and other media . To raise your scores in tests， such as TOEIC and TOEFL it is important to read and listen to English in a wide variety of contexts. Students who wish to continue to develop idea-based listening and reading skills with movie clips can do so in this class. Students who wish to do TOEIC practice tests or develop academic writing skills may also do so in this class. |
| 授業計画 | Earth Day (April 22nd.): endangered animals， Planet Earth movie. Fair Trade Day (May 9th.): the politics of chocolate and coffee. NPR News: an essay on Mothers Day， (May 10th). World Environment Day: (June 5th.) eco systems， your carbon footprint， food mileage. Volunteer opportunities: conservation volunteer， sports volunteer. Reading for information: plan a trip to London with travel websites. Other study options: Study listening， paragraph writing and how to organize ideas in an essay with educational animations. Study with Movies: increase your vocabulary and listening power with English movie trailers. Organizing information: research biographies of movie actors. |
