授業概要 This class is designed to enable the students to express their ideas in various settings with confidence. Students will learn to prepare and deliver speeches and give short presentations using visual aids.
授業計画 This class will cover different types of speeches such as: Persuasive; Demonstration; Lay out; Informative; Self-introduction and Introducing someone; Show and tell; Impromptu; Book and Movie Review. Students will frequently stand in front of the
class and give an oral presentation of an interesting topic helpful the future.
For good delivery, important aspects such as good eye contact, voice inflection, gestures (non Japanese), good posture and facial expressions will be discussed.
The class will learn how to make effective cue cards with delivery cues and visual aids.
Brainstorming and organizing the speech with the introduction, body, and conclusion using transitions and sequences will be taught and the students will give each type of speech in either small groups or to the whole class. The class will include Questions and Answers to the speaker along with peer evaluation.

授業概要 This class is for all students who are interested in overseas destinations for travel, work or study.. The goals of the course are to help students communicate effectively in English and deal with a wide variety of travel survival situations, while helping them to expand their vocabulary and improve their conversational skills, and listening ability. Students will have many opportunities to improve speaking strategies and general fluency in English through interactive group and pair work.
授業計画 The class will focus on oral productive skills and active listening activities which will help extend target language and develop basic listening strategies. Many travel tips in different situations such as studying abroad, homestay hints, hotel differences, shopping, tours, and dining will be discussed.
